Shalom
The International Service Avenue of our club decided to organize a Christmas celebration event in a unique way to spread the message of Christmas joy while giving a stage to showcase the creative ideas of both Rotaractors and Non-Rotaractors around the world. As a result, the project 'Shalom' was initiated, and the event took place from 17th December 2020 to 13th February 2021. A competition series was organized under the theme, Christmas: The time of Sharing & Caring. The competition had several categories: essay writing, digital arts, hand-drawn arts, photography, poetry, and hand-made crafts. Shalom's main objective was to celebrate Christmas by spreading the message, 'Christmas is all about sharing and caring. This project created an excellent platform to provide worldwide participants with a chance to showcase their creative skills and identify the individuals with true potential within the club. We aimed to discover the hidden talents of the participants and give them recognition by conducting the project, Shalom.
Furthermore, this project helped spread the message and encourage people to respect religious festivals and religions without religious or racial bias. Lastly, this project was organized to give the message that we can still celebrate our festivals without having physical events always by adapting to the new normal.
