Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya

‘Rise Up Sri Lanka’ is an awareness program initiated by the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya during the Covid-19 outbreak. Committee members from ten different projects came up with their creative ideas to raise awareness among the general public.   Their messages include how we can protect our motherland and how individuals can do their part to save a whole community from getting infected by the pandemic.   The project committees shared their inspiring messages on social media platforms as they could influence more and more people to join hand in hand for this great course. The 14th Installation Ceremony was held on 27 th October 2019 with great success. At the Appadurai Auditorium, Faculty of Agriculture. Commencement of the ceremony was marked by lighting the traditional oil lamp by the dignitaries and invitees. Honourable Chief Guest- Professor Upul B. The Annual General Meeting of the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya was held on 3 rd July 2019 at the Faculty of Engineering with the participation of the members. The handing over of the board for the Rotaract year 2019/20 took place at this event. Immediate Past President Rtr. Tharindu Pinnaduwage handed over the board to the new president of the club Rtr. Lahiru Dissanayake and the newly appointed board of directors were introduced to the club members.
