IN-QUIZ-ITION

Nothing more exciting than meeting new people, hearing their stories and being inspired.

Better than any other way, Rotaract is the perfect way to meet new people, start new friendships and make new memories. That is why our Club Service Directors and Membership Team constantly arrange new projects in innovative ways to build this friendship among everyone. While everyone was depressed at home without being able to meet with their friends, IN-QUIZ-ITION ’20 provided a great platform for everyone to connect.

When you look at it, you could say it was yet another virtual quiz competition, but when you explore it more deeply only you will realize that this was a one-of-a-kind, extremely well-prepared event that not only provided a fun time but also provided a lot of knowledge about a particular subject that we all were very interested at some point when we were young but ended up forgetting because of our examinations and busy schedules. The theme for The Ancient Egyptian Culture. But the competition did not only test our participants’ knowledge on this subject, but it also tested their knowledge on IQ, General Knowledge, History, Geography, Sports, Entertainment and Science & Nature.

"In-QUIZ-ITION" was accomplished under 3 main steps, namely:

1. Considering their creativity regarding video/collage/presentation representing their teams

2. Brainstorming puzzle related to Egyptian history

3. Quiz competition along with IQ and General knowledge MCQ and short answer question session.

At the beginning it was planned to be a 5-team competition with a small number of participants. But with the promotion of the project, we were able to attract a large number of participants. The most interesting part about this project was, this was not an individual competition but a teamwork. Our main objective was to enhance the knowledge, interest, commitment, and teamwork of the competitors of this program. This was an open contest for our University students without considering their divisions according to their faculties and years.

This project reduced the gap between the past and present members in an unexpected way and we were also able recruit a large number of new Rotaractors to the club. Participants were able to get to know new friends from the other faculties and work with them as a team with one goal to win. Nevertheless, they were able to brush up their knowledge as well with our brainstorming sessions of the competition.

Finally, the heartfelt comments of the competitors proved that “IN-QUIZ-ition” was a great project and the organizing committee’s attempt was a success.
