Orientation Programme: Faculty of Engineering

Orientation programme for the freshers of Faculty of Engineering took place on 17th January 2020. Welcome speech and the introduction to the club was done by the joint secretary of the club Rtr. Gothami Mayanthima. 12th past president of the year 2017/18 Rtr PP Thiraj Dhanushan and 3rd past president of the year 2008/09 Rtr PP Bhagya Egodage also addressed the gathering. Interactive gaming sessions were done along with the introduction of different avenues in Rotaract.

         The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya is one of the most prestigious Rotaract Clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered in 2002 and after a short period of silence, sprang up to work in 2006. The Charter President of the club is Rtr. PP Pathum Mudannayake who was an undergraduate from the Faculty of Science. He and his committee have done a great deal to raise the club to higher levels in the district. The 44th U. S. President Barack Obama once said: "No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change."    Simply defined, the word ‘climate’ denotes the weather conditions which prevail in a specific region. It has a significant impact on the lives of plants, animals and humans which can either be positive or negative.
