Induction Ceremony of the new members of the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya, ‘Alohomora 2019’ took place on 25th August 2019 at the Drawing Room-1 of Faculty of Engineering. Many new members representing almost all the faculties joined for this and the event consisted of interactive sessions, creative teamwork and fun-filled items to enhance the fellowship among the new members and current members. Rtr. Nadeeshani Ekanayake, the Professional Development Coordinator of Rotaract District 3220, joined this event as a resource person. Rtr. PP Pasan Kavikeshava, Former Secretary Rtr. Chamodha Athukorala and Rtr. IPP Tharindu Pinnaduwage also joined for the event.

         The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya is one of the most prestigious Rotaract Clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered in 2002 and after a short period of silence, sprang up to work in 2006. The Charter President of the club is Rtr. PP Pathum Mudannayake who was an undergraduate from the Faculty of Science. He and his committee have done a great deal to raise the club to higher levels in the district. It has a significant impact on the lives of plants, animals and humans which can either be positive or negative.
