Youth Matters - NextStep phase 3

International Youth Alliance for Peace (IYAP) is a youth-led organization, founded in November 2013 to bring a network of young people together and working towards sustainable social development.


With the collaboration of IYAP, we the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya have organized an event which named as"Youth Matters" which is a round table discussion. The building of relationships and sharing of experiences will encourage learning, mutual respect and peaceful coexistence.  Making a good first impression, etiquette and problems and challenges faced by the youth and the solutions for those problems were discussed throughout this round table discussion.

         The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya is one of the most prestigious Rotaract Clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered in 2002 and after a short period of silence, sprang up to work in 2006. The Charter President of the club is Rtr. PP Pathum Mudannayake who was an undergraduate from the Faculty of Science. He and his committee have done a great deal to raise the club to higher levels in the district. The 44th U. S. President Barack Obama once said: "No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change."    Simply defined, the word ‘climate’ denotes the weather conditions which prevail in a specific region. It has a significant impact on the lives of plants, animals and humans which can either be positive or negative.
