Maternity Care - Sathkara phase 6 project

The future of the country depends on the actions of the present generation. Child birth is the most beautiful and most fascinating phenomena in the nature. We, being the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya, took a step to value and appreciate this nature's miracle. This project focused on giving donations for mothers and their newly born babies. And also to spend the day with them trying to forget the pain they go through, even for a day.



 In Sri Lanka, there are so many maternity clinics, but only few of those clinics get the best rewards from the government. Some maternity clinics do not have very good facilities and they do not receive all the requirements which they need from the government. But every mother get “Poshana malla” from the government, but it includes only food. So we thought of giving them food and some other requirements which are needed for babies and mothers because they are in need of those things badly as they have a very low income.
