Dazzling Hearts

"Dazzling Hearts" was a project that was organized to celebrate the World Down syndrome day. The project was organized by the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya and Rotaract Club of Colombo West. It was held on the 19th March 2017 from 9.00 a.m. to 2.00p.m. at Hindagala Seevali Vidyalaya with the participation of Blue Rose special school in Kandy, Special unit of Hillwood College in Kandy, Special unit of D.S.Senanayake vidyalaya in Kandy. Rtr. Anjali Dayawansh and her organizing committee gave their fullest contribution to make the project a huge success.

         The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya is one of the most prestigious Rotaract Clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered in 2002 and after a short period of silence, sprang up to work in 2006. The Charter President of the club is Rtr. PP Pathum Mudannayake who was an undergraduate from the Faculty of Science. He and his committee have done a great deal to raise the club to higher levels in the district. The 44th U. S. President Barack Obama once said: "No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change."    Simply defined, the word ‘climate’ denotes the weather conditions which prevail in a specific region. It has a significant impact on the lives of plants, animals and humans which can either be positive or negative.
