Kopi and Biscuit Dansala

The "Coffee and Biscuit Dansala"(Kopi and Biscuit) was held on 19th of June 2016 on the Poson Poya day from 3.30 – 6.30pm at the Educare Center, Kandy. Under the guidance of the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya, project chairs Kushan Dassanayake and Wathsala Rathnayake chaired the project with great success. Also we would like to give our heartfelt special thank to every individual who contributed in providing us with coffee, sugar and biscuits as well as to everyone who supported us with their strength.

A Brief History of the Club

         The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya is one of the most prestigious Rotaract Clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered in 2002 and after a short period of silence, sprang up to work in 2006. The Charter President of the club is Rtr. PP Pathum Mudannayake who was an undergraduate from the Faculty of Science. He and his committee have done a great deal to raise the club to higher levels in the district. Our Senior Treasurer had been Dr Shamala Kumar all along. She is one of the main reasons the club stands proud inside the university arena. Reach for Water '19 - Donation of the Water Filter + Rotaract Road Trip

As you all may know, the final phase of our most prominent project, Reach for Water concluded just a few weeks ago. We donated a Reverse Osmosis Water Purification System to a village in the North Central Province, which has been suffering from Kidney Related Diseases forever. Since the journey to this village takes the whole day, we decided make it a small Road Trip and so many of our beloved members joined us.
