Get Together 2013

We, the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya hosted a get-together, a memorable evening of fun, laughter and sentimentality, on the 25th of August 2013, at the Engineering Faculty Common Room, as part of the Club Service projects for the year 2013/2014. 

It was refreshing to see past and present members join in the activities lined up for the evening consisting of fun games and soothing music. Being in the company of  many esteemed past members once again was a treat for most of us, while they too enjoyed being reunited, amidst their busy schedules. The evening paved way for fellowship and enjoyment, and was indeed a success.

         The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya is one of the most prestigious Rotaract Clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered in 2002 and after a short period of silence, sprang up to work in 2006. The Charter President of the club is Rtr. PP Pathum Mudannayake who was an undergraduate from the Faculty of Science. He and his committee have done a great deal to raise the club to higher levels in the district. The 44th U. S. President Barack Obama once said: "No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change."    Simply defined, the word ‘climate’ denotes the weather conditions which prevail in a specific region. It has a significant impact on the lives of plants, animals and humans which can either be positive or negative.
