The Team of RCUOP

We, the Rotaract club of the University of Peradeniya co-organized an outward bound training program, with the Rotaract club of Kandy. The event was on the 27th of November, 2012 at Victoria camp, Digana. It was a rare kind of avenue because such trainings are not quite frequent. There were many activities which were aimed to improve sensory abilities such as communication skills, speed, understanding , concentration, timing, ability to bear risks etc. some activities such as shooting sessions could be once in a lifetime experiences. It was a thrilling event with a lot of fun and new experiences.

         The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya is one of the most prestigious Rotaract Clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered in 2002 and after a short period of silence, sprang up to work in 2006. The Charter President of the club is Rtr. PP Pathum Mudannayake who was an undergraduate from the Faculty of Science. He and his committee have done a great deal to raise the club to higher levels in the district. The 44th U. S. President Barack Obama once said: "No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change."    Simply defined, the word ‘climate’ denotes the weather conditions which prevail in a specific region. It has a significant impact on the lives of plants, animals and humans which can either be positive or negative.
