Fund Raiser for the Kidney Protection Society

The Rotaract Club Of the University of Peradeniya organized a "Keta" program to raise funds for the Kidney Protection Society of the Kandy Hospital on the 27th of August 2015 from 4.00 p.m onwards. Many spectators waiting for the "Esala Perahera" donated money charitably and contributed to make this good deed a success. by Editor Upekha Miriyagalla

The ‪ ‎ 100voices, UNFPA campaign conducted by the United Nations Population Fund of Sri Lanka was held on the  23rd of August 2015 from 10 a.m. to 2.30 p.m. at the faculty of Engineering, University of Peradeniya. The program was organized by the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya and was conducted by the vibrant Onalie De silva Ariyabandu representing UNFPA.  The campaign was conducted addressing controversial youth issues on sexual and reproductive health and Gender-based violence in Sri Lanka. The events of the day ended successfully thanks to the rotaracters who participated enthusiastically sharing their experiences, views and opinions on youth issues over gender based problems with utmost passion. Our special thanks goes to Onalie De Silva Ariyabandu who courageously raised her voice against gender based violence and enlightened the young rotaracters about sexual reproductive health, encouraging them to raise their own voices in their communities. ...

"Adding Colour to Their Lives" The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya successfully hosted a project on the 12th of July 2015 to paint the 'sick baby unit' of the Kandy General Hospital. The ward which was in pretty bad condition was colour washed and given a lively look that was needed to brighten the lives of the little ones. The glistening white on the walls reflect the true spirit of Rotaract to which we stand for. by Editor Upekha Miriyagalla

"Padura" at Upper Hantana

After Cancer Home Aurudu celebrations on the 25 th of April 2015, members of Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya and Rotaract Club of University Alumni arranged an evening gathering at Upper Hantana Lodge. This proved to be an ideal moment to depart from everybody’s busy schedules of work. We sincerely hope that the mutual collaboration of the two clubs would lead to a difference that counts!
