Sathkara Phase II

We, the Pera Rotaractars took another step ahead with our Sathkara Project on the 1st of October, on the Children’s day, with the kids of the Evelyn Children's Home in Kandy.  On this day interactive sessions on origami, a talk on dental health, styling words with letters and a sing along was carried out with success. And also bringing a smile to their faces many required stationary items were donated for the children. We would like to thank the Rotaract Club of the Faculty of Management and Finance and the Interact Club Of Kandy Girls' High School for sharing their valuable time with us in coloring the dreams of the little kids at Evelyn.

         The Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya is one of the most prestigious Rotaract Clubs in the RI District 3220. The club was chartered in 2002 and after a short period of silence, sprang up to work in 2006. The Charter President of the club is Rtr. The 44th U. S. President Barack Obama once said: "No challenge poses a greater threat to future generations than climate change."    Simply defined, the word ‘climate’ denotes the weather conditions which prevail in a specific region. It has a significant impact on the lives of plants, animals and humans which can either be positive or negative.
