Live with COVID

By now we all know that the COVID-19 virus has spread around the world and has claimed many lives. It has seriously affected all the countries of the world. The situation is well under control now and the authorities are planning an exit strategy. Therefore, considering this prevailing situation we, the Rotaract Club of University of Peradeniya decided to do something new under the International Service Avenue to make people aware of this pandemic situation. So we thought that maybe it would be even more effective if we could make this known not only to our country, but also to the other countries in the world. Christmas is the season of love, harmony, and celebration. It is a day we all celebrate with great joy and happiness. The distinguished guests included Mrs Reeni De Silva, Mr Vindula Nicola Attygala, Mr Yasas Gunarathne, Mr Dilshan Wasala, Mr Ravi Royster, and the famous duo Samare & Samare. We also organized an

Green Legacy is a joint project organized by the Rotaract clubs of University of Peradeniya, University of Kelaniya, and University of Moratuwa. In the years since its launch in 2015, the focus of this joint undertaking has been on contributing to afforestation and reforestation efforts. The project committees have conducted numerous tree-planting campaigns throughout the years and the participation in these campaigns has been restricted to Rotaractors from the three clubs. This year however the Green Legacy project committee could not organize its annual tree-planting campaign due to restrictions imposed on in-person events following the spread of Covid-19. Instead, the Green Legacy project committee sought to launch an online public awareness-raising programme titled “Green Legacy Insight” whilst maintaining the Green Legacy Facebook page. The sessions under this awareness-raising programme were organized as open events, allowing all interested parties to join the discussion; unlike
